Dr. Stephen Stouder

Insurance/ Cost: Dr. Stouder is in the process of applying to be in network with major insurances (UHC, Fl Blue, Aetna) and is accepting Medicare, self-pay and Out-of-network. Estimated to be in network with Tricare in the Fall 2026.

Stephen M. Stouder, Psy.D., ABPP, is a licensed clinical psychologist.  He received his Master’s degree and Doctorate in clinical psychology at Rosemead School of Psychology in La Mirada, CA.  He completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral internship with the United States Air Force in 2006 and served as an active-duty psychologist for 21 years before retiring in 2026 with the rank of Colonel.  In 2013, he obtained Board Certification in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology.

During his diverse career working with military members and their families, Dr. Stouder led several active-duty Mental Health Clinics, providing outpatient mental health care, substance abuse treatment, and services for family maltreatment issues.  Dr. Stouder also pursued a post-doctoral fellowship as an Aviation Psychologist, served as a doctoral psychology internship training director, deployed twice to lead combat stress teams, and served as a medical commander.  His areas of expertise are general clinical psychology, marital therapy, military psychology, combat and deployment related issues, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and veteran and military related life transitions. 

Dr. Stouder is an attentive and deeply compassionate clinician, who is well versed in a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, sleep, balancing work and life demands, trauma, family of origin concerns, and adoptions. He specializes in supporting military and veteran families. Outside of work, Dr. Stouder enjoys spending time with his family, playing video games, taking long walks on the beach (seriously!). He is also an avid science fiction reader and a dedicated volunteer at his church.
